Stainless Steel Data Plates

Stainless steel data plates are one of the most durable and widely used methods of permanently identifying industrial equipment. Designed to withstand harsh environments, they provide clear, long-lasting identification where printed labels or adhesive stickers would quickly deteriorate.

Whether you need a simple serial number plate or a fully customised identification plate incorporating logos, CE/UKCA markings, QR Codes or technical information as found on stainless steel test plates for machinery undergoing inspection, testing and certification, stainless steel offers an excellent combination of strength, corrosion resistance and professional appearance.


Available in both 304 and 316 stainless steel, our data plates can be supplied in a wide range of thicknesses, sizes and finishes to suit almost any industrial application. Plates can be laser engraved, chemically blackened, cut to bespoke shapes and supplied with fixing holes, adhesive backing or custom mounting options.

Anodised Aluminium Plates

Anodised aluminium plates offer an excellent balance of durability, appearance and cost, making them one of the most popular choices for machinery identification, electrical equipment and OEM manufacturing.

Unlike painted or printed labels, the information is permanently laser marked into the anodised surface, producing a crisp, high-contrast finish that won't peel, fade or wear away under normal operating conditions. Their lightweight construction and excellent corrosion resistance make them ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications where a professional finish is required.


Anodised aluminium is particularly well suited to applications where weight, appearance and cost are important considerations. Available in a range of colours and thicknesses, these plates can be laser marked with logos, serial numbers, barcodes, QR Codes and variable data, making them suitable for both one-off prototypes and high-volume production.

For many engineering applications, anodised aluminium provides a clean, professional finish while offering excellent durability at a lower weight than stainless steel.
